When Hannah Montana got popular, I knew the media attention was going to come. True, I didn't expect the paparazzi to follow me around all the time, but I know it's part of the job. For the most part, I can let the gossip roll off my back. The first negative rumour about me was that I was pregnant. I was, like,well, that's stupid. I don't change my life. I treat the media - including the paparazzi - with respect. I treat them like friends. Heck, sometimes I see them more than my real friends. They're not going away. That's the way it is, and I live with it.

The day after Hannah Montana first series been launched

The very next day I went to an amusement park with my aunt. We're thinking about the show We had no idea what the ratings were. It didn't occur to us that people had actually seen on television the night before. We were on our way to the roller-coaster, when six thirteen-year-old girls ran up to me and asked me for my autograph (no lie)! "Sure" I said, hyperenthusiastically that I'm pretty sure I scared my very first fans (who were taller than I was). I wasn't just Miley Cyrus anymore. I was carrying Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana around with me. It was weird. It was cool. Because I'm only twelve.

Emily and I tried to be friends, we really did, but it always ended in a fight. We're just so different. She's from LA-I'm from South. She's opinionated..but I'm so opinionated that I'm opinionated about not being opinionated. She's supersmart. I felt dumb.

Hannah Montana

By the first time before I got the character "Hannah", I was asked by the Disney Channel manager to be Lilly. You know, I was like, I want that Hannah Montana or Chloe Stewart (then I changed it to Miley Stewart) . My dreams are singing and to be popular and yeah, I want to be Hannah so much. But then when I finished the audition, they only said "You may go home now. You are not chosen". Days after days, weeks after weeks when I'm on the phone with Patrick (my old buddy in Nashville), my Mom shouted from downstairs. "Miley! You got it!". Okay- I was like, "What happened?" and seriously, I thought an accident occured or something. I'd got the character Hannah! Yes! I got it! It was a mer-mazing moment



*Mer-mazing is my word for amazing.

trapped in the toilet

I still have no idea how the Anti-Miley Club got a caretaker's key to the school toilets,but one day I was on my way to science class, and they shoved me in and locked it. I was trapped. I banged on the door until my fists hurt. Nobody came. I tried to open the window, but it was stucked. It dawned on me that everyone was already in class. Nobody would come to use the toilet for at least forty minutes I sat down on the floor and waited. I was friendless, lonely and miserable. Can I find a friend?

My Pappy

Before I get back to braces, I want to talk about Pappy. While we were taping the pilot, Dad was flying back and forth between the set of Hannah Montana and my Pappy's bedside. Pappy was my grandfather on my Dad's side. He was sick, really sick with lung cancer, but all the amazing memories I have of him in my head as I worked.I knew he wanted me to follow his dream.

It became tougher.. I can't stand it.

Only three girls were picking on me that day in the cafeteria, but I got sense that the other kids enjoyed the show. I'd always been teased for having a well-known father. Classmates would say, "Your dad's a one-hit wonder. You'll never amount to anything-just like him". I just ignored it. I thought of him as successful and happy with his life. Maybe they thought I was snotty for being proud of my dad ( well, he is the most amazing man ever).

Life's a tough

My cheerleading coach, Chastity, was really tough. In Nashville, some people treated me differently because I was the daughter of singer Billy Ray Cyrus. They'd cut me slack because my dad was somebody. Not Chastity. If I messed up, she made me run laps just like everyone else. If anything, she was tougher on me. Chastity always said, "Can't is not a word"

Why did I have to leave Hannah Montana?

it is because i'm now an adult not a teenager. Hannah Montana is like a child and someone will replace me as Hannah Montana. Pheww! I am tired of this
